Our CDCP Provider Journey
As a dental hygiene provider, I see how oral health ties into overall well-being. Our assessments, like blood pressure checks and oral cancer screenings, can be life-saving. Here are a few examples of the CDCP’s impact:
- For a 68-year-old male, I noticed signs of possible airway obstruction and high blood pressure, leading to a referral that might prevent future cardiovascular issues.

- A 71-year-old female had an enlarged thyroid nodule detected during an extraoral exam, prompting necessary medical evaluation.

- A heavy smoker had a suspicious leukoplakia on a retromolar pad, emphasizing the need for regular oral cancer screenings.
These cases highlight how thorough dental care can reveal systemic health issues and enhance overall well-being.
National Day of Giving
Friday, June 28th, 2024
In 2008, Gift from the Heart began as a one-day event that invited oral health care professionals to give back to their communities by providing no-cost preventive oral healthcare.
Heartfelt Gift Week is an entire week dedicated to giving back, and at Complete Oral Wellness, we've chosen Friday, June 28th, as our day to provide free dental care. Join us in spreading smiles and promoting oral wellness!
Registration below if you are in need of FREE access to dental care.
Gift from the Heart Founded in 2008
Hundreds of thousands of Canadians cannot access preventive oral health care.
They are the under served and vulnerable people in our communities.
The Gift from the Heart is a Canadian charity connecting oral health care professionals to vulnerable Canadians who encounter barriers accessing essential oral health care.
